How the Wellness Wizard™ Works
The Wellness Wizard is a unique and practical electronic device that plays customized medication and safety reminder messages at specified times and days.
Reminder messages are played directly by the Wellness Wizard.
The user's telephone is connected to the Wellness Wizard (like an answering machine). This telephone is used by the Wellness Wizard to:
- make outgoing automated alert calls to designated phone numbers if a reminder message is not acknowledged
- send recorded reminder messages to designated phone numbers
- program the Wellness Wizard
Setup is Easy
Lift the handset of the telephone connected to the Wellness Wizard, and press the LOCAL button under the Wellness Wizard's lid. Then, simply listen to and follow the voice prompts that will play through the telephone handset.
If reminder messages are not acknowledged (by pressing a big blinking yellow button on the face of the device), automated alert phone calls are made to designated family members, friends or neighbors informing them to check on the user's wellness. The device performs six important wellness-related tasks to maximize the safety and well-being of its user.
Plays personalized, customized reminder messages that are recorded in the voice of a loved one such as a family member, neighbor or friend. Typical reminder messages:
• Medications • Locking Doors Before Bedtime • Important Tasks • Upcoming Appointments • Morning Checks • Making sure the user slept well and is awake • Mealtime Reminders
Recorded messages play continuously until the user presses the big yellow blinking acknowledgement button. If the user does not press the button within 20 minutes, an automated alert phone call is made to designated family members, friends and/or neighbors.
The Wellness Wizard has four color-coded speed dial buttons that make it easy for the user to reach important contact people: 911, a caregiver, their physician and their pharmacy.
Simply press the Time button and the Wellness Wizard tells the user the time, day and date. This feature is particularly important to the visually impaired.
The Wellness Wizard can be programmed to call any telephone number, such as a family member at specified times and days with reminder messages:
• Reorder Medications • Upcoming Doctor's Appointments • Important Tasks
If there is a power failure that lasts more than 5 minutes, or if the Wellness Wizard is used to call 911, the Wellness Wizard will call the designated caregivers with an automated alert message.
